Teaching Schedule, New Magic: Gatecrash Promo, and Updated Apperances

Happy New Year's everyone!  I thought I kick off this new year with some general news and new work.

NEW MAGIC THE GATHERING PROMO
I'll start with a card that was released this week for Magic the Gathering's new Gatecrash expansion.  This is a Promo card for Treasury Thrull.  These cards are given to those of you who go to your local pre-release events for Gatecrash.  I have a few more cards being released in this set, and will update here on this blog as they are released.

WATTS ATELIER WINTER SCHEDULE
Classes start next week.  I will be teaching two classes.  Here is my schedule.

Tuesdays 2:30pm-5:30pm

Figure Study

Tuesdays 7:00pm-10:00pm

Portrait in Oil

Click on the class links to learn more about each class.

APPEARANCES
I've updated my appearances for the year.  I will be attending a few Magic signing events.  More on those as the become official.  I will also be attending IlluXCon in Allentown, PA this year.  I missed last year's, and there is no way I 'm missing this year's!  Check back here often as I'll be updating my "Appearances" as each one becomes official.

OTHER NEWS
You can now buy prints direct from the blog.  I have an assortment of prints for sale, but I still need to upload those.  If there is a certain work of mine you'd like to see in print, shoot me an email, I can make prints of most of my work.

I've also updated my website to a more streamlined site.  You can see the updated site here:

  1. I very much like the art for Treasury Thrull. Was it retouched for the final art (as I notice more purples and greens)? Are you going to make a print of it?

  2. Thank you. I think the picture of the card is a foil. So, the colors may be off. I haven't seen the card in person, so I can't say for sure. Send me an email if you'd like a print of this one, we can go over the details there.

  3. Looks great, Lucas. Love that promo card, you make stuff look so real and natural. I am jealous.
